Only a few companies worldwide can boast such a long history as Hahnemühle. Founded as a paper mill in 1584 in Solling in southern Lower Saxony, Hahnemühle has consistently developed in line with its founding fathers' vision to become a customer-oriented and innovative manufacturer.
Of course, a lot has changed in terms of products and manufacturing methods since 1584. What began with handmade writing papers was later expanded to include artist papers and the digitally printable fine art inkjet papers invented by Hahnemühle. In addition, Hahnemühle papers have been used for decades in industrial products and manufacturing processes, as well as in research laboratories. But some things have remained the same: for example, our high quality standards, which guarantee our customers the purest papers for art or technical applications.
Our paper technologists are masters of their craft. Using high-quality pulp and pure spring water, they produce traditional artist papers, fine art inkjet papers and papers for life science applications, industry and research, some of which are based on centuries-old recipes. We are perfectionists in the best sense of the word and a reliable partner for artists, technicians and scientists.
We manufacture papers according to your requirements, continuously improve them together with you and develop papers for new market Segments.
