Black Edition

Why choose Faber-Castell Black Edition coloured pencils? High-quality SuperSoft leads The pencils have particularly soft leads that allow for rich colour application. Users report: ‘The colours are incredibly intense and vibrant, and colouring is really enjoyable.’ Ideal for dark or coloured paper Thanks to the high pigmentation, the colours also stand out beautifully on dark or coloured backgrounds. Break-resistant leads The special Sekural gluing process – the entire colour lead is glued all around with the wooden casing – makes the leads particularly stable and less prone to breakage. Sustainable wood The pencils are made from FSC®-certified wood, which supports responsible forestry. Elegant design The black lacquered pencils emphasise the colour and give the sets an elegant look – the black metal cases with 3D embossing in particular also make very nice gifts. Ergonomic triangular shape The special shape ensures a natural hand position when painting and drawing and reduces fatigue during prolonged painting. Sharpener Some users report problems when sharpening Black Edition coloured pencils. Wax-based colour leads are softer, good for colouring areas – and therefore become blunt more quickly. We recommend the magnesium sharpener with 2 replacement blades in block form from Möbius + Ruppert. Make sure the blades are clean and replace the metal blade if necessary Conclusion The Black Edition is ideal for creative hobbyists who are looking for bold colours, versatility and good value for money – especially on dark paper.
